I like the concept of this newsletter, but I think it'd be much more cohesive and impactful if you focused on just one topic with a little more depth each time.
Very informative newsletter, thanks. Given the urgent water shortages in the Western states, and chronic flooding in the Eastern and Southern states, please consider the development of a national water pipeline system. It would be a win-win for the entire country. Each time there was a terrible storm, the national water pipeline would siphon off some of the floodwater and move it to drought-stricken areas. It actually is quite feasible, both technologically and financially. The same equipment used in oil and gas pipelines could be utilized, and most of the distributed storage is already in place with the hundreds of reservoirs throughout the country. I know that states in the Great Lakes region are very protective about their water, but a floodwater-only plan would be a big environmental success story. Imagine Lake Powell and Lake Mead full of water from the recent tragic storms in Kentucky and Texas.
